Sustainability from bush to cup…. The Williamson Tea Foundation

Our ethos of sustainability and transparency expands not only from bush to cup, but also to our surrounding environments in Kenya and closer to home. This is what inspired the Williamson Tea Foundation. The Williamson Tea foundation works to continually improve the standards of our tea, our farms, for the wildlife and people on them and the greater community and environments around them. We do this through projects like our solar powered farm Changoi, our education programs across the farms and our charitable partner of the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust.

The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust founded in 1977 supports a cause close to our hearts, working to compliment the conservation of elephants and rhinos in their natural habitat. This includes anti-poaching endeavors, vetinary care, conservation of the natural habitat and at the heart of the charities work is the Orphan’s Project. The DSWT Orphan’s Project works to hand raise elephant and rhino calf’s abandoned and orphaned by poaching. Once rehabilitated the elephants are released safely back into the wild where they have shown successful re-integration establishing themselves within wild herds and

For every caddy sold £1 is donated from the Williamson Tea Foundation to the David Sheldrick Trust. It is a special partnership as we share many of the same beliefs in sustainability, conservation for future generations and the importance that protecting our natural wildlife and habitats.
