Williamson Tea was one of the first tea producers in the world to be certified by the Rainforest Alliance.
The Soil Association is one of the largest and most well respected organic certification bodies in the world. In 1967 it developed the world’s first organic certification system, putting stringent standards of organic production into practice, principles of producing good food that protects the natural world. All products certified by the Soil Association comply and exceed the EU Organic Regulations as a baseline and in fact go far beyond these standards, giving consumers confidence that organic teas produced on Williamson’s farms are produced to the very highest standards in the world.
Williamson Tea’s organic teas meet Japan Agricultural Standards (JAS). This additional standard allows products to be marketed as organic within the Japanese market, adding value to Williamson Tea products by opening up new opportunities for customers businesses.
ISO 22000 is a Food Safety Management System that can be applied to any organization in the food chain, farm to fork, or in our case ‘bush to cup’. ISO22000 demonstrates Williamson Tea’s food safety management system, giving customers confidence in the quality and safety of the teas produced.
BRC certification is an internationally recognized mark of food safety and quality. Certification is achieved by undertaking a third-party audit against Standard requirements by an accredited certification body. Williamson Tea’s branded products are produced to BRC certification within the UK.
